1) EBERSPLICE “Soft Cold Forge System”
The bar end is enlarged by the patented EBERSPLICE “Soft Cold Forge” procedure. This typical deforming method allows the most sensitive, crack and fissure avoiding upset of the material. The forging process is entirely sensor controlled.
First particularity:
Sensor controlled “soft cold forge”. The enlarging force is not controlled by pressure but by sensor/limiter.The punch stops at correct shape, not at pressure limit.
Second distinctiveness:
Its “longitudinal ribs neutralizing” dies. Every constructor knows about the interfering longitudinal ribs. EBERSPLICE dies allow neutral enlargement for all kind of shapes.

2) EBERSPLICE bar thread rolling.
Manufacturing threads by rolling, opposite to cutting, means to keep intact as much as possible
the inner structure/fiber of the re-bars.
Rolling threads means also adding a 2nd, forging process (soft cold forge up to specified diameter= 1st )
by forge-rolling the thread on.
Inner fibers, forced down by the roll, to fit the inner diameter of the thread, are bended up, directly
behind and by the same roll, to create the outer shape of the same thread.
This method allows a lower, initial upsetting of the bar ends and avoids by the way excessive cracking
and fissuring of the inner fibers/material.
Definite thread diameters can be manufactured with decreased diameters but still bigger than the
initial bar diameter, without loss of strength.
The resulting strength of the bar end as well as the whole final connection increases significantly,
compared to the initial re-bar strength as well as to the traditional method by cutting threads.
What seems more efficient ?
Enlarging a DB32 (real 29,5mm out of ribs) bar up to 36mm, meaning > 6 mm upset, to cut a M36 thread on… (additional material-structure and -fiber rupture through cutting process)
Or
Enlarging same bar up to 31,9 mm, meaning < 2,5 mm upset and “roll” a M34 thread on... (material-fiber and -structure deforming without rupture)
Just imagine how less the inner material fiber is stressed and by the same way inner rupture and cracks avoided. The threading rolls deform the surface in caving in the inner thread diameter and in elevating the outer diameter up to 34 mm.
It is a second cold forge.
